March

SpringPoppies1

March is finally here only 21 day till Spring. Oh, beautiful wonderful Spring how I can’t wait to see you.

I know I am very whiney but guys I can not handle anymore snow, it really brings me down. I am longing for a nice warm day. I want to take the dogs for a nice long walk with bundling up under 13 layers of sweaters and coats. I am tired of scrapping my car off, I am tired of tracking snow in the house, I am tired of Winter!

Since I am in a blah kind of mood I will start naming random things that have happened to me in the last few weeks.

  • Vincent and I have been watching the Olympics. We love watching the Olympics, we even watched the crazy Hockey game last night. It was a great game, and I am so very happy Canada did so well. I love seeing so many people happy and celebrating. Of course I am very proud of the Americans. We rocked it. And of course I watched the Dutch speed skating and they did wonderful, except for that lane switch thing which was really really horrible.

  • I think I will be joining a book club soon…..that should be really fun.

  • I got an awesome bike for my birthday, but I have been under so much snow that I can’t ride it. Well, I did ride to work twice, but I fell on the icy road (was not hurt) but I was super embarrassed and I really could have hurt myself so I will wait until spring gets here. I can’t wait to show you guys the pictures. But I guess that will wait until another day….

  • I am trying not to take ANYTIME off at work so I can go on a vacation this Summer with Vincent, but now I really want to take a three day weekend just because…..but I won’t because I major plans for my days off and need to plan them very carefully.

  • My running has suffered in the last few weeks, I have an injury. Shin splints. And the roads have been quite hazardous and I have not felt like doing a safety shuffle run for 3 miles across icy sidewalks. But get back in the groove soon. I have kept up my Zumba class.

  • We did install Windows 7 on my computer and I am liking a lot. I will try to write a post about it on a few months.

  • I really love the picture at the top of this blog I got it from here. It looks all Summery and makes me happy.

Hair

I write on this blog for many reasons, mainly they are very selfish reasons. But today I am going to be selfless and write something to help all of you guys.

Last month I went to Texas to attend a funeral, it was a very intense trip. It was full of great sadness and also great joy. It was not a bad trip like I thought it was, but there were moments I was HIGHLY stressed.

I do not handle stress very well. Maybe it is because I am a pretty high strung person and evidently I am super intense also. When I was in my late teens if I was stressed I would fall over and have a seizure, some of us can NOT handle the stress.

Well the day of Ceean’s visitation, which was the day before her memorial service, the family got together to make a large memory/picture board for her that was displayed at the visitation/funeral. Ceean’s sisters, my cousins and I spent several hours working on the display.

Then after we finished, we decided that we wanted to go to Ceean’s house and pick up a few of her things to set out.  So we went to her house and picked up her favorite boots, her work boots, her flashlight, and a few more things. Before long it was getting time to get ready for the visitation which I was dreading.

I went to my Grandparent’s house to get Vincent, but it was too early to leave for the funeral home. And I was WAY too nervous to get sit and wait 30 minutes. So I decided to take a shower, I took the fastest shower ever know to man. I dried my hair and started looking for some hair products (mousse, gel, hair spray) to put in my hair. When I was growing up we always had TONS of hair products in the bathrooms, but I could not find anything in the first bathroom. So I went to the second bathroom and my Grandma was brushing her teeth, all I had to do was wait 2 minutes and I would have all the hair product that my little heart desired.

But I was stressed, so I went to the third and final bathroom. I opened the cabinet and looked for anything to put in my hair, I found a can of what I thought was hair spray. I grabbed and started spraying my head like crazy. But something was wrong, this hair spray was weird, so I shook the can hard and sprayed even more on my hair, then I carefully read the can and it is…..

P1030144 Deodorant! I sprayed tons of deodorant in my hair, and now I do not have time to take another shower. And my stress level is off the charts. I am one house slipper from crazy.

I go back to the second bathroom but now my Grandpa is brushing his teeth and my craziness will not let me calm down enough to wait for him to come out. Sooooo I grab some Wal-Mart brand hand lotion from the kitchen counter and start rubbing it in my hair because, damn it! that deodorant did not work! So after I lotion up my hair we leave for the funeral home right on time.

We get there and everyone is sad and crying. I laid my head on Monica’s shoulder and tell her not to smell my hair because it smells like arm pit, and I tell her how I sprayed it with deodorant thinking it was hairspray. She found the story highly entertaining.

I did however get tons of compliments on my hair, the deodorant did make it super shiny and the lotion worked like awesome hair putty. Really you guys would not know that I had made that many mistakes on my hair that night.

So the lesson of the blog is…..when you are fixing your hair for your estranged mother’s visitation service, please be calm and pack your own hair products.

Hi-dee-ho Neighbors!

So I think that I will start posting some of my totally sporadic yet witty blogs here, so that my friends who maintain that they are "to mature" for myspace will be privy to my thoughts. I am hoping that since I have this job with unbelievably low expectations, I can blog at work.

I am writing this first blog kinda as a disclaimer. I am not going to post blogs daily. I am far to lazy to do that. I have horrible spelling, so it will be your job as the reader to try in interrupt what I an trying spell. My punctuation is not exactly to par. I just confused when use "to" versus when to use "too". In my mind, if you can replace the word "to" with "ta" and it sound good then roll with it. Mind you I grew up Deep in the Heart Texas and I am current wasting away in West Vir-gin-i-a. So good sounds good to me may not sound good to you. If you can replace the word "too" with the word "teuuuu" then once again - you are good to go. Maybe I missed my calling as an English teacher!
In case you have not noticed I am SSSSSOOOOOOOO easy distracted, so feel free at anytime to just stop reading, and go back "to" or "ta" Youtube can watch some more videos. I understand they are funny!!!!
As a reminder this disclaimer is NOT all inclusive! I will add, change, and break all rules on a regular basis. Oh, and I will probably offend most of you, but do not be alarmed. The offense is not in malice- I am just really blunt, direct, and extremely insensitive. I am sorry! And I apologize. If you have any questions just ask away, as I am very opinionated and you will receive my honest opinion. If it is reassurance you want do NOT come to me!
I think that about covers it!
